...this is my weekend getting away from me. Just kidding (kinda). Let me backtrack...this weekend was good. Yesterday, saw some out of town cousins and their kids. They handed us some kid stuff and we had lunch with them. Then we went to a baby consignment store, met up with a friend of my wife and her son. Today, we attended my nephew's bday party. And tonight...I sit, after showering, had a late dinner and trying to fend off my annoying dog...I've notice how most of my weekends might look like now. Scratch that, all my weekends might look like now.....double-scratch that, all my days will look like now. I'm going to have to literally scrape up some spare time for doing some guy stuff. Let's say 1:30am-2:00am? Maybe that'll be a good start. If I'm lucky and my kid is a heavy sleeper, I can also have another 30 minute slot :).
Okay, to some news about my baby mama. As her last post, we're having a boy. It's great, although I don't have that "excitedness" maybe people are expecting from me. I am happy, and relieved, the anatomy scan showed all his little parts in good shape. But I wasn't doing backflips or breaking down in tears of joy. In fact, I was more curious about reactions from my family and friends. Not sure why...and I'm not freaking out either. Who knows, maybe I'll be as calm as can be...up to the point that kid's head pops out!
Oh yeah....just to finalize it for any relatives reading, me and the baby mama aren't going to the family reunion. But my parents, brother and his wife are going. Plus I supplied my mom with some ultrasound shots. We do have a plan to come down next year, with baby in tow. Just this year is a bit busy ;-). Finally, no name yet. If you need something to associate with boy with....Cletus will work.
